PineCarve is built on the foundation of being an unparalleled online content provider. With a primary focus on carpentry, PineCarve saw an opportunity to serve a massive audience that needs access to great content.
What I've done
I explored different blog concepts to give the readers the best user experience. The result is an enhanced product that offers readers more free content than ever before, with an outstanding visual experience.
The challenge
The primary task for me as the designer was to design a blog that would arrange the content elegantly, engage readers & set the mood with custom graphics.

It was necessary for me to ensure that the website was highly scannable, readable, and easily navigated, which is crucial for websites heavily packed with text content.
The solution
By working closely with PineCarve’s team, and exchanging knowledge and expertise on both sides, I was able to design a minimalist website with rich interface design and an unprecedented user experience.

Usability, seamless readability and cross-device support are what users are looking for, and we knew how to deliver.
Blog cards with large images & enough space for typography help curious visitors explore the blog posts even before  opening them. The website looks visually appealing as well.

The extended filter option allows you to loop through the topics you like, bringing in a faster navigation experience.
The article page also consistently uses a clean composition where each section types are distinguished and easily scannable, bringing in an aesthetic appeal to the layout.
The result
Atomic design. All these tiny improvements are driving  massive gains in user retention and there has been a positive change in user behavior from their previous website.

The usage of the selected typography, colours & visuals helped me bring a consistent general style & recognizable identity to PineCarve.

I am rooting for PineCarve as their team continues to test & iterate on their website we designed together. The client was kind, patient and extremely fun to work with & provided me with the freedom to work creatively. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

The time required to complete a web design project depends on its complexity and the scope of work. Do you only take part in freelance work or are you interested in joining an ambitious agency?

I currently work at Stead Technology as their UX/UI designer, while also taking freelance projects that help me build value to my clients and their companies.
